SAP WM Consultant

Solution Design and Customization: Define and design scalable and sustainable SAP WM solutions based on industry best practices and business requirements. Configure and customize the SAP WM module to meet complex warehouse management needs.

Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and other SAP modules, such as Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Sales and Distribution (SD), to ensure seamless integration and data flow between modules.

Process Optimization: Analyze existing warehouse processes, identify improvement opportunities, and propose innovative solutions to optimize warehouse operations, including goods receipt, putaway, picking, packing, and goods issue.

Technical Expertise: Provide expert knowledge and guidance on SAP WM functionality, configuration, and enhancements. Mentor and coach junior consultants, sharing best practices and industry trends.

Master Data Management: Oversee and maintain master data related to SAP WM, such as material master, storage bin master, and storage unit types, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Change Management and Documentation: Led change management activities, including impact analysis, change request management, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Create and maintain technical and functional documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and future reference.

System Enhancements and Upgrades: Collaborate with the IT team to identify opportunities for system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionalities. Drive the implementation of enhancements and participate in SAP upgrades and patch implementations.

Stakeholder Management: Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, including warehouse managers, logistics teams, and IT personnel, to understand their requirements, provide expert advice, and build strong relationships.

Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for SAP WM-related issues, working closely with technical teams and SAP support to resolve complex problems efficiently.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP WM will be an advantage.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an SAP WM Consultant, with a focus on implementing and optimizing SAP WM solutions within SAP ECC.

Extensive knowledge of SAP ECC modules and their integration with SAP WM, such as MM, PP, and SD.

Strong expertise in SAP WM configuration, including warehouse structures, storage types, and storage bins. Experience with advanced WM functionalities like cross-docking, wave picking, and slotting optimization is highly desirable.

Proven track record of leading and managing SAP WM implementation projects, delivering on time and within budget.

Deep understanding of warehouse management processes, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process gaps, propose effective solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives.

Ability to mentor and guide junior consultants, providing knowledge transfer and fostering professional growth.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.

Experience with SAP WM enhancements, user exits, and IDocs is a plus.

Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
